The challenge
Casbro is an architecture and construction firm operating in Chile and Peru, specialising in workplaces, retail and corporate projects for brands like British American Tobacco, Cencosud, WeWork and BNP Paribas. They needed a website that matched the premium quality of their work, let them manage a portfolio of more than 60 projects with photo galleries on their own, and delivered a visual experience worthy of their positioning. The design came from id&D and called for advanced scroll animation, cinematic transitions and an admin system that depended on neither WordPress nor generic templates.
The solution
We built the Casbro site as a Nuxt application with static generation (SSG), pairing instant load performance with sophisticated scroll-driven GSAP animation. Instead of WordPress, we built a custom CMS designed around what Casbro actually needed: project management with image galleries, categorisation by type (Workplaces, Retail, Other), metadata like floor area, timeline and year, and bilingual Spanish/English support. Project images live in Firebase Storage, so the Casbro team can upload and organise high-resolution photography without traditional hosting limits. The result is a site that loads in milliseconds, impresses on every scroll and needs no technical knowledge to run.
Advanced GSAP animation
Extensive animation work with GSAP and ScrollTrigger: a clip-path hero reveal, section parallax, split-text transitions, stroke-by-stroke SVG logo animation and coordinated entrance effects throughout the site.
Custom CMS (no WordPress)
A tailored admin panel for managing projects, galleries, categories and bilingual content. Built around how Casbro works, without the constraints of a generic CMS.
Firebase Storage for projects
Each project's photo gallery lives in Firebase Storage, allowing high-resolution uploads, per-project organisation and optimised delivery through Google's CDN.
Portfolio filtered by category
A project grid with dynamic filters by type (Workplaces, Retail, Other), each entry carrying an image gallery plus floor area, build timeline and delivery year.
Bilingual Spanish/English site
Full internationalisation with real-time language switching, so Casbro can present its portfolio to domestic and international clients alike.
SSG with Nuxt for performance
The whole site is statically generated with Nuxt, giving near-instant load times. Every page is pre-rendered at build, combining the interactivity of an SPA with the speed of a static site.
Results
Casbro went from having no digital presence to a website that reflects the quality of its architectural work. The project portfolio is managed independently through the custom CMS, the GSAP animation creates an immersive experience that sets Casbro apart from its competitors, and the Nuxt + Firebase architecture keeps performance and scalability in hand. The Casbro team runs its own content and projects without relying on outside technical support.
